State fairs offer wonderfully wild and wacky summer foods, from chicken-fried bacon in Texas to Minnesota’s spaghetti and meatballs on a stick!

There is something about dining at the fair that can make anyone an opsomaniac, or a person who is driven to the point of madness by food. State fairs are famous for their lubberwort, or food with no nutritional value.

The California State Fair boasts Fried Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwiches, that’s fried chicken and Swiss cheese tucked into a Krispy Kreme doughnut, served with a side of honey sauce. At the Iowa State Fair, you can enjoy a Hot Beef Sundae. That’s a big scoop of mashed potatoes over roast beef, covered with gravy, sprinkled with cheddar cheese and garnished with a cherry tomato to look like a sundae!

What’s another word for messy food? Maw-wallop!
I know getting in shape is important, but hey round is a shape:)!
