You may have heard that NINE players shot a hole-in-one during the 80th edition of the 2016 Masters Tournament recently held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia!  What are the odds of a professional golfer making an ace?  About 2,500 to 1!  Those are pretty tough odds, however, it’s 10 times easier to shoot a hole in one while golfing than it is to score a perfect 300 game bowling?

Danny Willett won his first major championship with a score of 283, three strokes ahead of runners-up Jordan (Spy-eth) Spieth and Lee Westwood!  Jordan Spieth led the tournament from the first round until the 12th hole of the final round, where he twice hit and foozled his ball into Rae’s Creek, making a quadruple-bogey 7!

When golf was introduced in 1848, the golf ball was called a “gutta-percha ball”!  Gutta-percha is a substance obtained from an evergreen tree of East Asia, and also used by dentists to fill cavities!   A mashie niblick  is another name for an old number six iron, but a ball is just a ball, no matter how you PUTT it:)
